Schools and boards can choose between two complementary pathways depending on their context, priorities, and level of depth required.

School Principal Leadership Feedback and Development Pathway
The Principal Leadership Feedback and Development Pathway provides principals with structured, evidence-informed feedback and practical development support aligned to the Professional Standards for New Zealand Principals. The pathway combines 360-degree feedback, professional interpretation and reporting, development planning, and follow-through using the Individual Development Plan platform.
What’s included

Scoping and engagement with the principal and board chair

360-degree feedback survey (principal plus up to 10 stakeholders)

Analysis and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative feedback

Up to three confidential follow-up interviews with respondents, where additional context is required

Facilitated feedback session with the principal

Development planning with the principal and set-up on Individual Development Plan (one-year subscription included)

Facilitated briefing with the Board Chair (with the principal present), focused on development priorities and support expectations

Follow-up development check-in at six months
Indicative fee: $4,500 + GST
Optional add-ons are available, including additional interviews, tailored survey questions, board briefings, and ongoing coaching support.

Hogan Leadership Assessment and Development Pathway for Principals
This pathway provides principals with a structured, assessment-led view of their leadership strengths, development risks, and values using the Hogan Assessment Suite (HPI, HDS, MVPI). Results and discussions then lead to the ‘so what’ factor and the principal is supported in crafting and sticking to an individualised development plan for growth and improvement.
It is well suited where schools or boards want a clear, evidence-based leadership profile and development focus, without the broader organisational engagement of a 360-degree process.

Administration of the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI), Hogan Development Survey (HDS), and Motives, Values and Preferences Inventory (MVPI)

Comprehensive feedback / development report integrating results across the three instruments with leadership strenghths, development areas, culture indicators and specific suggestions for growth

Individual feedback and interpretation session with the principal

Development planning session aligned to leadership goals

Set-up on the Individual Development Plan platform (12-month subscription included)

Six-month check-in to review progress and refine development focus
